⚠️ Be careful! Don't confuse "Je t'aime" (I love you) with "Je t'aime bien" (I like you)!
We say "Je t'aime" to someone for whom we have love (love feelings for our husband/wife or family love for our children, parents, brothers and sisters...).
"Je t'aime bien" is less strong. The verb "aimer bien" (to like) is mostly used for things (e.g.: j'aime le tennis, tu aimes le vin ? - I like tennis, do you like wine?). Used with people, the phrase "Je t'aime bien" conveys a friendly feeling, falling into the friendzone 💔🥲 . For example: "Je t'aime bien mais je crois que ce ne sera pas possible entre nous." (I like you, but I don't think it's going to be possible between us.)
